Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) is a two-year full-time diploma programme under the Directorate of Teacher Education, Jharkhand. It prepares candidates to become primary and upper-primary school teachers (Classes 1 to 8).
The programme focuses on child development, pedagogy of school subjects, arts & crafts, work education, health & physical education, and intensive practice teaching in nearby schools. On successful completion, candidates are eligible to appear in TET/CTET examinations.
